Starting September 1, 2021, Cigna Behavioral Health will change its name to Evernorth Behavioral Health. Providers who work with Cigna Behavioral Health will maintain the same contractual obligations, and patients will continue to receive the same benefits. Your patients’ Cigna ID cards will continue to be a valid source of benefit and contact information. Your practice can continue to use your current systems and methods for submitting claims, requesting prior authorization, getting reimbursed, and other transactional activities.
Please note that this change ONLY applies to Cigna’s behavioral health network.
Cigna/Evernorth will have a new website available in 2022. A preview will be available on September 1, 2021, the date that the name change takes place. The new website is: provider.evernorth.com. The website is not live at the time of publication.
Cigna/Evernorth’s fax and phone numbers will remain the same; you can continue using the same ones that you do today.
Email addresses will change to evernorth.com domains starting September 1, 2021. Make sure to mark your calendar and update them accordingly. For example, if you email johndoe@cigna.com, the email will change to johndoe@evernorth.com.
